We are proud to announce the appointment of Elianne Neuman as a voting member of the Non-Profit Board, filling the position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)!
Elianne first joined the Yeshiva University Chapter of College EDge as a mentor and intern in Fall 2012. Her skill as a mentor and independent proactive contributions to the program as an intern led to her quick appointment as Assistant Director of Mentorship by Spring 2013 and full Director by that Fall. In this capacity, Elianne built new divisions within the mentorship program to yield more effective results. Her 5-on-5 program directly matched students with mentors in small groups, leading to more productive conversations and relationships. She devised new mentorship bonding and educational events and more than doubled the size of the program.
Elianne was then appointed President of the YU Chapter for the 2014-2015 academic year. Under her leadership, the mentorship program and events continued to expand rapidly in size and impact. She facilitated the cultivation of lasting, ongoing relationships with multiple NYC high schools, each requesting regular programming for their students. As she enters the Non-Profit level of leadership, she leaves behind a chapter poised to run regular programming for three NYC high schools out of two YU campuses, a strong events department, and a rich legacy for the continual improvement of mentor-mentee relationships.
In her new role, Elianne will work to streamline processes across our nationwide chapters including curricular development, collaborative events, and distribution of resources. Her combination of experience, leadership skills, creativity, and drive make her the most suitable candidate for this position and we are thrilled she has accepted. In her own words:
“It is a great honor to be joining the Not-for-Profit Board of College EDge, Inc. I so enjoyed working with College EDge at Yeshiva University, and I’m looking forward to helping make College EDge successful at our school and at other college campuses all over the country. As the organization continues to expand, I hope to ensure that we will not lose sight of our ultimate goal: assisting underrepresented high school students on their path to higher education, be it college or college alternatives.”
Welcome Elianne Neuman, CAO!
